About 1,130 farmers from surrounding farms in Nyamagabe, in Rwanda’s Southern Province, deliver cherry to Kibirizi Washing Station. The station’s management supports producers with training in Good Agricultural Practices and sustainable land management.
Smallholders drive Rwanda’s coffee industry forward. The country has no large estates, and most coffee is grown by more than 400,000 smallholder farmers, each cultivating less than a quarter of a hectare. Arabica makes up the vast majority of Rwanda’s coffee production, with Bourbon accounting for around 95% of all coffee trees grown in the country.
This fully washed lot is juicy and vibrant, bursting with citrus and tropical fruit.
