Finca El Placer is in Palestina, Huila, and is operated by Ledy Moncayo and her husband, Luis Edgar Camacho. They have been working with Caravela since 2014, with the farm transitioning from Typica to Caturra, and more recently, Pink Bourbon and Bourbon Aji.
The coffee undergoes multiple fermentation steps – starting with in-cherry fermentation, floatation, then anaerobic fermentation, followed by a hydrated stage before pulping and washing. Drying takes 15-20 days.
Vibrant, fruit-driven, juicy and sparkly – yes, really.
